I am an Associate Professor in the Sociology department at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, and a faculty fellow at the Carolina Population Center. 

My research focuses on gender, work and family, intersections of gender and race, and economic inequality. I study inequality in the labor market and in organizations, focusing on outcomes such as hiring, wages, evaluations, and promotion decisions.
